Win supportMIKE's old desk!

Over this weekend I bought a very nice big desk from the Salvos (Op-shop). This replaces my two desks and wooden mezzanine arrangement.

The burning question is how much did I pay? The closest guess will WIN one of my old desks*

*Postage and transport is responsibility of the winner.

I don't want to guess because I might get it right and I don't want the desk.

There's no way i could get the old desk without spending a fortune, but i'll be the first to hazard a guess or 2. Low side: 42 australian dollars. High side 273 Australian dollars.

Oh, and seeing as how it's the Salvos thing, i'll go for the low side.

i'm not allowed to participate cuz I was being cheeky and got band from guessing ...

but it was my idea for him to offer up his old desk as the prize for anyone who guesses the proper amount ... so .... sorry, to anyone who wins.

That wouldn't be the desk you said you'd give to me after I bought your old computer would it? I might have to put in a bid...

Hey, thats a good way of getting rid of some junk, just put it up for a prize! I might offer up King Brown for a prize..

Anonymous said... 8/23/2006 8:18 pm

$35. But I don't want any more desks, already got two on loan.

I sold a desk like that on eBay last year in Sydney. I fetched $5 from my bidders. $5.

S0 I'm guessing between $5-10.

Which makes me wonder about the state of your old desk! :)

Salvos are pretty upper class. Could have been as much as A$85...
Wouldn't they do the whole trade-in thing? Ripped off mate. Your old desk wasn't in that bad a condition... was it?

despite the parlous state of the aussie peso, i'm guessing $30

I just got a new desk, so I don't need one, thanks....

Pls. give my prize to the salvo's and no, I won;t transport it for you! ;)

Look's like everyone really wants your desk mike!

My poor desk lies broken and crying in the corner... rocking back and forth softly. No one wants it. :(

Anonymous said... 8/26/2006 11:07 am

The fact that it's rocking is not a good selling point.

Aren't you going to tell us how much the desk cost??

Anonymous said... 8/26/2006 10:07 pm

Soon... although I'm not sure people cared about it.

I will swap you the desk for my 1983 Holden Shuttle Van which was in good running order at one time.

Blogstats? Vanity. A chasing after the wind.
