Am I wasting my time?
19 May 2007
Leading on from my post earlier in the week Craig S has some great thoughts on blogging and the importance of online communities. If you are cynic when it comes to blogging/myspace etc rather than a fan the link's definately for you. (See here)
Should I get over myself and get a myspace page or should I hold out?

What can you do with myspace? I guess what I mean is, how do people use myspace? The pages that I've seen have been rather lame and don't seem to do much. Is there a lot more to it than I may have picked up?
There one and both the same in my kitty-opinion. In essense that is.
I say this in the context of the internet in general- alot of fun, a great resourse, can be a great help to your purpose, but can also be a big waste of time. For all the usual reasons, we have to be careful not to spend to much time on the web, that includes blogging. Thats why i say yes to you Mike, you are wasting your time.
But, if used sparingly, and posts kept short and to the point, it can very useful.
I sleep about 16hrs a day, have regular farm-patrols and a bunch of animals to keep in line- if i spent to much time on the web id be negleting all the important things in life.
Brrr...
You may well be wasting your time... just like me.
myspace is a very different place. i don't think you'd gain anything there, but there are a lot of things to lose.
I don't understand the point of Myspace. It seems like just a badly laid out page with a few photos where "friends" can leave inane comments.
Basically the same as a blog, come to think of it, but at least you can write something in a blog.
