Phil you legend...

My mate Phil wrote this poem on his blog.

Pop over and give him e-props... but here is the poem for your enjoyment.

-----

Today, it would seem
That Mike & Christine
will for the first time meet.

Although, on the web
it has often been said
they'd talk for hours untold

So Mike packed his “swag”
said “good bye” to his Dad
& kissed his Mum on the cheek

He's gone to the States
to meet face to face
without the old Internet screen

There's no vegemite there!
Their cupboards are bare
of that spread we're willingly share

But he's gone anyway
for nothing will sway
this mike that is a machine

So, it's “thanks to the modem!”
that she's gotten to know him
and does seem to be rather keen

Will he propose?
Well, no body knows
for it all seems much like a dream.

----
supportMIKE salutes Phil

If you want to know how things are going the answer is... swell (if you are American) or flipping awesome. (if you are an Aussie)

I knew you couldn't withhold from blogging the whole time you are away...

We need to get a book maker to set up some odds on this whole proposal business...

Mike, please avoid using the word swell, at least not in front of the children...

That's a brave poem Phil. You probably said more than you should have, but Jolly couldn't help but post it anyhow. Because he's a blog machine!
Um, I don't need pictures. Or maybe another pic of 5 cop cars up on the sidewalk outside the donut store, with officer Brady arresting the donut theif. I want another for my collection.

My mom says swell, sarcastically.

I have officially seen the couple together, I got a Skype call today, they looked like they were having an amazing time and they also looked very cute together :)

Like Phil, I knew you couldn't stay blog-free while you were over there. BTW, I have never said 'flipping' in my whole life, and wouldn't wish to associate with anyone that did.

It isn't that no one ever says "swell" it's just that no one ever does anymore. (Remember Leave It To Beaver? He said it.)

...and "flippin" sounds like a naughty word.
